Mark A. Lebowitz, M.D.,F.A.C.S.Mark A. Lebowitz, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive eye surgery. he has an extensive educational and surgical background with over 20 years of clinical experience.
Dr. Lebowitz earned his undergraduate degree at Franklin and Marshall College and his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at SUNY Health Sciences of Brooklyn and his fellowship in corneal diseases and anterior segment surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital/Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Lebowitz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as the International Society of Refractive Keratoplasty. In addition, Dr. Lebowitz is a board member of the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society.
Dr. Lebowitz has been in practice since 1987 and is currently managing partner of KLM Ophthalmology. He performs the latest techniques of cataract surgery. he is also an Attending Surgeon at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Medical Director of the Brooklyn Eye Surgery Center.
Dr. Lebowitz strives to maintain the highest standards of care while utilizing the latest equipment and most advanced surgical techniques. He believes a personal, one on one interaction with each patient is essential to obtain the best possible surgical result.
Laurey G. Mogil, M.D.Laurey G. Mogil, M.D., is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. She has an extensive educational background with over 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Mogil earned her undergraduate degree at Cornell University in 1980. she was resident at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. She continued her education at Mount Sinai where she was a glaucoma fellow. Dr. Mogil was the chief resident of ophthalmology in 1984-1985.
Dr. Mogil is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and fellow of the American College of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, as well as the New York Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Mogil is an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Mogil has been in practice since 1985 and is currently a partner of KLM Ophthalmology. She maintains her privileges at the Mount Sinai Medical Center where she has a voluntary teaching position.
In addition, Dr. Mogil is an alumnus of Cornell University. She is currently president of the class of 1976. she is also the district director of the alumni association for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences of Cornell University in New York City.
Moshe Mark Szlechter, M.D.Moshe Mark Szlechter, M.D., is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical retinal diseases. he has an extensive educational background with special interests in the treatment of Macular Degeneration and the retinal complications of Diabetes Mellitus.
Dr. Szlechter graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and cum laude from Downstate Medical College. he is an Assistant Professor of Vitreous and Retina at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he had previously served as the Clinical Instructor of resident surgery, and Chief Resident. Dr. Szlechter continues to teach medical and surgical retina to Ophthalmologists in training at the Jacobi Medical Center.
Dr. Szlechter has done extensive research in the fields of age Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. Dr. Szlechter has been a part of five multi-center clinical trials involving new pharmacological therapies for Macular Degeneration. Dr. Szlechter was also involved in research of various laser techniques as well as new pharmacological approaches in the management of diabetic retinopathy and other retinal vascular diseases. Dr. Szlechter has also performed clinical research on ocular and orbital tumors which has been presented at various national ophthalmology meetings.
