About Dr. Inker

Dr. Steven Inker specializes in ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology at KLM Eye MDs, where he also offers pediatric eye care for Brooklyn, New York’s younger residents. Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1988 and the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1993, Dr. Inker has devoted his career to helping patients of all ages see more clearly.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the City College of New York and went on to earn his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 1988. He served an internship in the pediatrics department of Beth Israel Medical Center, then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 1992.

Dr. Inker then completed his fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn in 1993.

After finishing his education, Dr. Inker served as the Director of Ophthalmology at Coney Island Hospital. He now serves as Director of Ophthalmology at the North Central Bronx Hospital and continues to serve as an attending at Maimonides Medical Center, Jacobi Medical Center, and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, where he is actively involved with resident education and training.

Presently, Dr. Inker brings his wealth of knowledge to patients at KLM Eye MDs, offering general ophthalmological care, as well as expertise in his sub-specialty, neuro-ophthalmology. This field combines neurology and ophthalmology to treat vision problems that stem from complex neurological systems outside of the eyes.
